How to rename recycle bin

rec2 Hi, friends I am back with this cool trick ‘How to rename recycle bin’. You can easily rename recycle bin in windows 7 & windows 8, but what about the windows XP & Windows vista users how they rename their Recycle Bin. They are unable to rename Recycle Bin because they don’t have any Rename Option in their Recycle Bin context menu. But in Windows 7 & Windows 8 there is a option in Recycle Bin context menu to Rename Recycle bin.
So, Windows XP & Windows vista users don’t worry. I have a Windows hack for both operating system Windows XP & Windows Vista. This is very easy hack every computer user can do this hack to rename there Recycle Bin very easily, even a stupid computer fellow can also rename his Recycle Bin. Because I am providing a step by step tutorial with images on how to rename Recycle Bin.

1. Step to Rename Recycle Bin in Windows XP

  • · Go Start and then click on Run
  • · Type regedit and hit Enter
2013-05-05 21_57_21-Run
  • · Find +HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT (click on plus sign)
  • 2013-05-05 22_00_13-Registry Editor
  • · Find +CLSID  (Click the plus sign)
  • 2013-05-05 22_01_36-Registry Editor
  • · Find +{645FF040-5081-101B-9F08-00AA002F954E} (Click on it)
  • 2013-05-05 22_03_40-Registry Editor
  • · After clicking you will something on the right side. Now double click on LocalString.
  • 2013-05-05 22_04_09-Registry Editor
  • · Enter your desired name for the recycle bin into an empty space ‘Value Data’. And click OK.
That’ it you are done just Refresh your desktop and see the magic.

2. Steps to Rename Recycle Bin in Windows Vista

  • · Follow up to step 2 from the above part.
  • Locate to : HKEY_CURRENT_USER \ Software \ Microsoft \ Windows \ CurrentVersion \ Explorer \ CLSID \ {645FF040-5081-101B-9F08-00AA002F954E}
As you do above.
  • Double-click (default) and replace the existing text ("Recycle Bin") with your preferred text.
  • Exit Registry editor
That’ it you are done just Refresh your desktop and see the magic.
